You Can Never Say Never

Death was last seen in the auction room, looking worried
Cowering in the corner.
Since when is Death afraid?
Was Death itself for sale?
Was someone there just waiting to bid on the darkness?
Or was Death just afraid that we had learned to cope,
That we had learned to embrace the world.
Finally the light emerged to let us know the truth:
Life isn't fair, how it could it be?
But to combat Death, we must be alive.
To be alive, we must live,
And as long as we live,
Death will be afraid,
And loiter in the corner of the auction room
Worried that one day...
No one will come to wave a paddle for Death,
But all will smile and pay only for happiness
And life.
